Yr 3 Associate Teacher Report 2019
Saturday 3 March – Sunday 11 March (data base closes 11.00pm )
Hamilton and Tauranga campus students select ATs from Primary Practicum Database. Use electronic form only. Students should ensure that they choose only teachers who have indicated they are available for term 2.
MMP students will receive an introductory letter and consent form to take to to their selected school and associate teacher. This needs to be returned to Clark McPhillips, Primary Practicum Coordinator: clarkmcp@waikato.ac.nz as soon as possible so that these placements can be formalised and confirmed by the practicum office.
Hamilton and Tauranga Campus students who wish to be placed with an associate teacher who is not on the database must contact Clark McPhillips, Primary Practicum Coordinator, TC2.69 clarkmcp@waikato.ac.nz and discuss this with him. Hamilton and Tauranga Campus students must not contact schools themselves.
Late March/early April – Schools notified of placements. Students notified via website. Please note these placements are tentative at this stage. Those students who have not been placed must contact Sussi Bell, Practicum administrator TC2.72 practicum@waikato.ac.nz

Room numbers to be advised via the website, and practicum notice board just prior to this date, once students have been placed and know which schools they are going to.
This meeting is also for year 3 students who have been granted a deferment of practicum until term 4. There is no other briefing meeting for year 3 practicum.

After the Practicum Briefing Hamilton and Tauranga students may contact ATs to arrange pre prac visits. Pre practicum visits are a requirement of practicum.
